Deyuan Peking Duck Restaurant is one of less famous restaurant serving this traditional Beijing dish. However, as for us, it is one of the places that serves a top quality for a reasonable price.
When you order a Duck you will have it cut next to your table so you can see. Most of the times you get four plates with duck slices: duck meat, duck skin and meat and skin in one plate. Additionally after you can either have the remaining as a soup or cut in pieces (4th plate). Before the duck is served, you get rice flour pancakes, some condiments like plum sauce (or sweet bean), fresh cucumber sticks and scallions.
The best way to eat Peking Duck is to take a pancake, put some sauce in the middle, add duck meat and skin along with a cucumber and scallions and then roll it. Just take a bite and combination of flavours explodes you tastes.

After you Duck has been properly carved, the Chef asks you if you want a soup or duck cut in pieces. Before, I used to ask for soup but it is not the best. I would advice on rather having the rest of the duck (we just take away).
