To start something is always tough. Starting a diet is always a double trouble – you find excuses. As Keto is more or less easy diet, where you still can eat filling stuff, I thought I could do it.
Well, the first few days of my diet – working days – were easy. I cooked, I brought lunch boxes to work, cooked dinner or ate leftovers. And then Friday has come!
My boyfriend is normally off on Fridays, so we meet up for a lunch in the neighborhood of my office. But this Friday was different, we had to go for a tea tasting in TWG. Of course, it is impossible to do tea tasting without treats – tea infused macaroons and scones. I did my best – only took a bite of each instead of eating full thing. But still that was my first crush.
In the evening for dinner I decided to focus on fats & protein in Italian place – cheeses, ham & steak… Seemed like I fixed the situation until ….. Saturday! Breakfast pancakes and Pho with rice noodle (I can never say no!) just destroyed my diet.
Disappointed and upset I went Keto shopping to start strong from Sunday again! Sunday – Keto cooking day… I survived even though my evil part was trying to convince me to have something out of the allowed products since it is the weekend. The great thing is that even I failed on decreasing carbs part, I still managed to keep the calories count low at 1200cal per day!
After the first week of Keto, the shopping for white jeans did not seem to be so upsetting as before. My cheeks shrank a little. My pants are no longer tight. I can feel a little lighter and less hungry.
So yeah, the first week seemed to be a failure, but even with that I feel better and motivated to continue Keto and improve my food intake. Week 2 – no slacking, no compromises, following Keto even during the weekend and GYM – that’s the promise! Let’s see how it goes!
