Being really tired after our trip to Tianjin, we needed to find something close and nice. So we did not think long and went to a Japanese restaurant down the road – Friendly Cafe. Usually we just go for a standart bowl of noodles and some sashimis / rolls, but this time we decided to try something new for me – Sukiyaki.
Sukiyaki is a very thinly sliced beef with some veggies and tofu boiled in a sweet soya soup base. You should eat beef while it is medium done for the best taste! Under it you will find a lot of Chinese cabbage, some tofu, carrots and onion. Everything you pick from the soup you should dip in the raw egg served on the side. After a little while, the egg will get cooked.
This dish is great while complimented with some sake and have some tempura to start.
